Mr. Hoopes was born and lived in Delaware County all his life.
He is survived by his widow, Ada White Hoopes; two sons, William and Thomas Hoopes, both of Chester; and five step children, Lloyd Chandler of Media, Mrs. Pearl Ferry of Claymont, Mrs. Agnes Levis of Springfield, George Chandler of Quakertown, and Mrs. Dolores Massi of Havertown.
The services and burial will be at the convenience of the family.

William was cremated and his ashes were buried in his father's (Thomas Atwood Hoopes) grave. He is not listed on the headstone but Media Cemetery confirmed that his ashes are buried in this grave.
