Falten immigrated from his homeland to the United States in 1900. He brought with him his wife Emma.
They had married when he was 23 yrs old and she was 17. With the couple came their children; Olga b.1891, Edward 1893-1970, Charles 'Carl' b.1896 , Sigmund 1897-1965, Adolph William 1900-1961 and Emma b. 1902.
In 1905 the family was living in the area of Gillett, Wisconsin, but shortly found a farm place in Maple Valley.
After settling in Maple Valley, Oconto County, Wisconsin they had a son, Falten, Jr. and a daughter, Sophia Anna (1912-2005).
In 1930 Falten Jr. and his wife, Ida, had taken over the family dairy farm, and Falten, Sr. and Emma continued to live there with them.
