When in 1653, war with the Dutch seemed imminent, Samuel went on the "frigott Swallow" to Block Island and seized the goods and people there appertaining to a Dutch Captain Sybando, and took them to New London CT, apparently to Gov. John Winthrop. Samuel bought from John Smith his house and lot in Providence RI on 3/1/1654. In 1661, Anne, now widowed, sold to Roger Mowrey her home with 4 acres, near the corner of North Main and Abott Streets, bounded by Sexton Street... from contributor [email protected]
