FRANK BRAASCH (d. 1921)

Frank Braasch, pioneer resident of the town of Newton, but who made his
home in the city the past six years, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs.
Edward C. Krueger, 1614 South Tenth Street yesterday of causes incident to
the infirmities of old age. He was born in Mecklenburg, Germany, September
26, 1839, being eighty-one years of age. He is survived by two sons and two
daughters and one step daughter and twelve grand children, his wife and four
sons preceding him in death. Two of the latter, Walter and Ulrich died here a
few years ago within six days of each other, Ulrich being operator and ticket
agent here of the Northwestern Ry, at the time of his death.
Those surviving are George of Newton, and Leo, Miss Amelia, Mrs. Edward
C. Krueger and Mrs. William Roxien, all of this city. The funeral will take
place at 1:30 Wednesday afternoon from the house and at 2 o'clock from the
German M.E. Church, Rev. Schellhase officiating, with interment at Evergreen.
