PAUL HERMAN BRAUNEL

Paul H. Braunel, 68, of 1614 Clark St., Manitowoc, died Friday, July 15, at
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Bruce Hanstedt will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Braunel was born Aug. 4, 1914, at Manitowoc, son of the late Edwin W. and
Lydia Krueger Braunel and stepson of Lillian Braunel. Mr. Braunel was president
of E.W. Braunel Plumbing Company Inc. He attended schools in Manitowoc and
graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1932. He served with the
home guard during World War II. He married Ruth (Dottie) Johnson, May 29, 1937,
at Manitowoc, the couple residing here. Mr. Braunel was a member of First Lutheran
Church, Men's club and board of Properties of the church, past president of
Manitowoc Lions club, past president of Wisconsin Association of National Plumbing
contractors, member of YMCA Board, past president of Master Builders, Member of
Manitowoc Masonic Lodge F & AM No. 65, Manitowoc chapter No. 16, Manitowoc Elks
Club No. 687 and former comodore of Manitowoc Yacht Club.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; two daughter (sic) and sons-in-law, Karin and
Charles Tuschl of Cato and Phyllis and Douglas Boettcher of DePere; four sisters
and two brothers-in-law, Jean Jackson of Green Lake, Wis., Miss Laura Braunel of
Manitowoc, Irene and Richard Greenwalt of California and Dorothy Flynn of Scandia,
Minn.; five grandchildren, Pamela, Christine, Melissa, Paul and Jessica; cousins,
nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday and
Monday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. and from noon ntil (sic) the time of services at
the church. Memorials may be made to First Lutheran Church.
