EDWARD H. BREY (d. 1967)

Edward H. Brey, 82, formerly of 1419 Phillippen St., Manitowoc, widely known
in the area as a pianist, music teacher and composer, died of a coronary attack
Sunday morning at St. Mary Hospital, Green Bay. He had made his home at Green
Bay for 18 months. Funeral service will be at 1:30pm Wednesday at First German
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Norval Koch will officiate and
burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Brey was born Dec. 7, 1884, at Warsaw, Poland, then under Russian domination,
son of the late Frederick and Louise Jacobs Brey. He came to the United States
and Manitowoc as a young man. He married Frances Sedlacek in June of 1910 at
Manitowoc. She preceded him in death January of 1933. Two sons and a daughter
also preceded him in death.
Mr. Brey retired Dec. 31, 1949, after 30 years as an office employe of the C.
Reiss Coal Co. Surviving are three sons, William of Milwaukee and Arnold and
John of Sheboygan, two daughters, Mrs. Erwin (Martha) Rusboldt of Manitowoc and
Mrs. Alger (Louise) Heise of Green Bay, 24 grandchildren and five great grand-
children. Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3pm Tuesday
until noon Wednesday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body
will lie in state until time of service.

JUNE CLAIMS ONE MORE BRIDE
Miss Frances Sedlacek Weds Edward Brey This Evening
June adds another name to the list of happy brides of the month, the marriage of
Miss Frances Sedlacek and Edward Brey being announced for 8 this evening. The
wedding will be a simple one attended by a small party of immediate relatives of
the couple. Rev. Karl Machmiller will officiate and a wedding dinner and reception
will be tendered the bridal pair at the home of the bride on Grand Avenue. Mr. and
Mrs. Brey will make their home in the city upon return from a honeymoon to Chicago.
The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Sedlacek and is a girl, charming of
mind and person. She has been an employee of the Schuette Bros. Co., for some time
and is popular. Mr. Brey is a son of Mrs. Louisa Brey and an employe of the
Manitowoc Music Co. He is a talented musician and has won some prominence as a
composer. A large circle of friends will tender congratulations.
