Elaine F. Brey, age 74, a resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, died
Thursday, April 22, 1999, at the home.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 24, 1999, at
the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be
Deacon Bill Klein with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Elaine was born July 2, 1924, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Hugo
and Clara Qualman Griebling. On April 13, 1973, she married Donald Brey
at First Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. He preceded her in
death on September 28, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her first
husband, Arthur V. Boyer Sr., on October 14, 1970.
Survivors include two sons, Arthur and Joseph Boyer, both of Milwaukee;
six daughters and three sons-in-law, Karen Windus and her special friend
Neil Hungerford, Debera and David Musial, Jean and Terry Riebe, all of
Manitowoc, Annette and Rick DeGroot, Kewaskum, Jeanette Boyer, Phoenix,
Ariz. Donna Boyer, Provo, Utah; 20 grandchildren; one great-grandson;
five sisters, Clarabelle Snyder, NewPort Richey, Fla., Verna Stewart,
Chicago, Ill,. Viola Sprang, Alice Meisner, both of Manitowoc, Gladys
Meyncke (sic), Highland, Calif.; one brother, Elroy Griebling, NewPort
Richey, Fla. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Karlin.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc from 9:30 a.m. Saturday until the time of service at 11:30 a.m.
Elaine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be missed by all.
The family would like to thank Rosa, Linda, Pat and the entire staff of
St. Mary's Home for the loving care they provided.
