WILLIAM A. BREY

William A. Brey, 79, of 607 Chicago St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning at
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church,
Manitowoc. The Rev. Cyril Hewswyck will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Brey was born Feb. 27, 1892, at Manitowoc, son of the late George and Barbara
Wellner Brey. He married Jennette Winkelmiller Aug. 17, 1914, at St. Luke Catholic
Church, Two Rivers. He was owner and operator of Manitowoc Central Delivery and
prior to his retirement in 1960 he had been employed at Manitowoc Engineering. Mr.
Brey was a member of the Knights of Columbus No. 710, the Eagles Aerie No. 706,
the Machinists Union and the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Church.
Survivors include his wife, a son, William R., of Neenah, two daughters, Mrs.
Robert (Jean) Noll, of Menasha and Mrs. Lieland (Florence) Leighty, of Platteville,
a sister, Mrs. Lillian Brachman, of Platteville and 11 grandchildren.
Friends may call at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 4 p.m.
Thursday where a Wake service will be held at 7 p.m.
