Eunice R. Brick, 55, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, died Friday, September 22, 1989
at her home in Crystal Lake, Illinois. Funeral services will be 2 pm Tuesday at
Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church. Rev. Bruce McKenney will officiate with
burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Eunice was born April 11, 1934 at Whitelaw, Wisconsin, daughter of Leona Holtz
Schley and the late Paul Schley. She grew up in the Whitelaw area and attended
St. John St. James Lutheran Grade School in Reedsville and graduated from Valders
High School in 1952. Eunice was a resident of Crystal Lake, Illinois, for the past
23 years. She was a member of Lord and Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church of
Crystal Lake, Illinois.
Survivors include her mother, Leona Schley of Manitowoc; two sons and a daughter-
in-law, David A. and Shirley Brick of Sumter, South Carolina, Jeffrey P. Brick of
Hoffman Estates, Illinois; a daughter, Barbara A. Brick of Crystal Lake, Illinois;
a sister and brother-in-law, Marilyn and Ray Behmer of Dearborn Heights, Michigan
and three grandchildren, Janel, Larry and Matthew Brick. She was preceded in death
by her father and grandparents.
Friends may call at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1pm to 2 pm on Tuesday.
Memorials may be made to Lord and Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, Crystal Lake,
Illinois, 60014. Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home is assisting the
family with arrangements.
