Bethany Evangelical Lutheran church. Rev. Bruce McKenney will officiate
with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Brick was born February 6, 1904 in the town of Newton, son of the
late Carl A. and Johanna Waack Brick. Mr. Brick grew up and was educated
and farmed in the Town of Newton most of his life. Mr.Brick was employed
at Manitowoc Shipbuilding Company for 31 years, retiring in 1971. He
married the former Erna M. Schrank on June 21, 1928 at St. John
Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg. They were married for 59 years.
Mr. Brick was a member of Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church and a past
member of Boilermakers Local No. 443, Golden K Kiwanis Club, A.A.R.P.
and the Manitowoc Senior Citizens.
Survivors include his wife, Erna; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph
L. and Eunice Schley Brick of Crystal Lake, Illinois and Ronald C. and
Judith Evenson Brick of Manitowoc; two daughters and a son-in-law,
Annabelle J. Kohn of Maribel and Audrey E. and Gerald K. Harpt of
Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Hertha Liermann of Manitowoc; two
sisters-in-law, Mrs. Irma Brick of Eureka, California and Mrs. Erna
Brick of Manitowoc; 13 grandchildren, Karen Kohn, Cathy Alvers, Kristine
Weber, Brian and Bruce Kohn, David, Barbara and Jeffrey Brick, Randy,
Cheryl and Connie Harpt and Tim and Tammy Brick; 7 great grandchildren,
nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded
in death by four brothers, Herbert, Carl, Adolph and Frederick Brick and
two step-sisters, Mrs. Elsie Eberhardt and Mrs. Lillian Scheffler.
Friends may call at Reinbold Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, from 5 pm to 8 pm Friday and Saturday at the church from 10
am until the hour of service. Memorials to Bethany Evangelical Lutheran
