Richard Brotherton, 80, of 1314 Manila St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning
at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Donald T. Stannard will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Richard Brotherton was born June 26, 1888, at Colby, Wis., son of the late
Richard and Sophia Hazeltine Brotherton. He married Tillie Allan June 28, 1916,
at Colby, then moved to Manitowoc where they resided ever since.
Prior to his retirement in 1957, Mr. Brotherton had been employed at Manitowoc
Shipbuilding Inc. for a period of 40 years. He was a member of the Boilermaker’s
Local 443 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 706.
Survivors include his wife and nieces and nephews. Four brothers and four sisters
preceded him in death.
Friends may call at the funeral home until the time of services.
