HATTIE BRUINS

Mrs. Henry Bruins, 82, of 710 South 25th St., Manitowoc, died Friday
morning at the Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a lingering
illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Urbanek and
Schlei Funeral home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Paul Blaufuss will officiate
and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mrs. Bruins was born Hattie Van Beek at Alto, Wis., in 1870, and in
1890 was married to Henry Bruins. They located at Holland, Mich., and
in 1903 came to Manitowoc. At one time Mr. Bruins was manager of the
Manitowoc Tribune, a daily newspaper published in Manitowoc for several
years. He was also employed in Manitowoc industrial plants in later
years. He died in 1917.
Survivors are two sons, Dr. Andrew and William of Manitowoc; sister, Mrs.
Case Everste of Holland, Minn.; two grandchildren and a greatgrandchild.
Friends may call at the funeral home after Monday noon.
