Richard Bruins, 44, died Sunday at the Columbia hospital, in Milwaukee, where
he submitted to an operation.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. from the Shimek and Schwartz
funeral home, the Rev. Ernest Zoerb of the First Lutheran church officiating.
Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mr. Bruins, son of the late Henry Bruins, was born in Sioux Center Iowa in 1898.
The family moved to this city when he was a boy. He was employed at the Kingsbury
Breweries Company and was a member of the malsters union and the Eagles. He made
his home with his mother, Mrs. Henry Bruins of 710 South 25th street.
Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Henry Bruins, of this city; an adopted son, Allen,
of this city; two brothers, Dr. Andrew Bruins and William Bruins, both of this
city.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Tuesday at 1 p.m. until the hour
of the services.
