Mrs. Erna Jentsch Burger, 96, formerly of 1404 Gunnell Lane, Manitowoc, passed
away Friday evening, April 5, 1991, at Shady Lane Nursing Home.
Memorial services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday from First Lutheran Church
Chapel. Rev. Bruce Hanstedt will officiate with cremation having taken place
and burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
She was born February 12, 1895, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank and
Anna Lodel Jentsch. She attended Manitowoc Schools and married George M. Burger
July 3, 1919, in Manitowoc and the couple residing here all their life.

Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law Doris B. and Gerald P. Hansen
of Manitowoc, Marjorie Gunnell of Key Largo, Fla., and Ephraim, Wis.; six
grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her
husband in 1961, two brothers and four sisters.
Friends may call at the church from 1 p.m. Monday until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to the Maritime Museum and the donors choice. Jens Funeral
Home and Crematory are assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
