EDWIN T. CAVANAUGH

Edwin T. Cavanaugh of 1456 N. Hwy 141, Manitowoc, died Saturday October 27 in Holy Family Hospital.
Funeral services will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday October 30, in Parkside Funeral Home and 10:00 a.m. at Holy Innocence Church. The Rev. Leo Schmitt and Rev. E.A. Radey will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Manitowoc. Mr. Cavanaugh was born in Maple Grove, son of the late Daniel and Catherine (Morrissey) Cavanaugh. He graduated from St. Catherine's High School in Maple Grove. He worked as a cheesemaker in Manitowoc county for thirty years and seven years at Manitowoc Shipbuilding, retiring in 1976. Mr. Cavanaugh was married to Loretta Fritsch in 1939 in Manitowoc county.
He was a past member of Manitowoc Sheriff's and Deputy's association and a past member of Manitowoc Cheesemakers Association. He was a current member of Boilermakers Union Local 443.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta, a son and daughter-in-law, Burl and Patricia Cavanaugh of Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law and a daughter Janet and Kenneth Jilek of Muskego, Judy and John Dietrich of Cato and Linda Cavanaugh of Manitowoc. Two brothers and sisters-in-law, a brother and four sisters, Ted and Veronica of Plainville, Minn.; Woodrow and Ruth of Manitowoc and Daniel C. of Manitowoc, Mary Wanish, Ceil Soukup, Irene Krueh and Fran Cavanaugh, all of Manitowoc. Nine grandchildren and other friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters, Michael, John, Marcella, and Hilda.
Friends may call in Parkside FUenral Home, Manitowoc, 5-9 p.m. on Monday. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on Monday.
