Paul C. Chizek, 34, of 2698 Michigan Ave., Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening at
home.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral
Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. William C. Graham will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Chizek was born Sept. 2, 1890, in the Town of Franklin, son of the late
John and Katherine Cherney Chizek. He was educated in Town of Franklin schools.
He married Rose Frances Vwenta (sic) April 17, 1917, at Chicago, farming the
home farm in the Town of Franklin a short time before moving to Manitowoc. He
was a brick layer, mason, plasterer, journey watchmaker and musician. He was
a member of Manitowoc Musician Union Local No. 195 and Bricklayers, Masons and
Plasterers Union No. 12 until his retirement. He was also a former member of
Evening Star band and played with many local bands.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Jerry, of Manitowoc Rapids; three brothers,
Joseph, of Kellnersville, Anthony, of Northeim and Victor, of Manitowoc; two
sisters, Mrs. Barbara Shimon, of Manitowoc and Mrs. Charles (Mayme) Cisler, of
the Town of Franklin; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren and nieces and
nephews. A daughter, Pauline Reimer, preceded him in death in 1966. A brother,
John, and a sister, Anna, also preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Schneider-Mittnacht Funeral Home from 6 to 8 o'clock this
Wednesday evening.
