Helen Mary Cisler, age 85, a resident of North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation
Center, Manitowoc, died Saturday, July 27, 2002 at Holy Family Memorial Medical
Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at Sacred Heart Catholic
Church, 702 State Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated
by Rev. David Hoffman, with burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
Helen was born Sept. 19, 1916 at Kellnersville, daughter of the late William &
Margaret Yohanek Zeman. She married Edward G. Cisler Sr. on Dec. 4, 1948 at
Manitowoc. Edward preceded her in death March 17, 1986. Helen enjoyed raising eight
children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed cooking, canning,
baking and her polka music. Later she was employed at Globe Laundry and the Hotel
Manitowoc prior to her retirement. Helen was a member of Sacred Heart Parish,
Manitowoc.
Surviving children include: LeRoy J Cisler, Manitowoc; Joann L. and Michael Phillips,
Manitowoc; Sandra M. Madsen, Two Rivers; Joseph W. Cisler, Manitowoc; Donald J. and
Kristine Cisler, Two Rivers; Margaret and Kenneth Stewart, Caddo Mills, Texas; nine
grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends also survive.
In addition to her parents and husband Edward, Helen was preceded in death by two
sons: Edward Cisler Jr. and Charles Cisler; a brother: James Zeman and son-in-law:
Robert Madsen.
Relatives and friends may call at The Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Manitowoc
from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and on Wednesday at Sacred Heart Church from 9 a.m.
to the time of service at 10;30 a.m.
A parish prayer service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening, led by Robert
Heinzen, Parish Ministry.
