ELEANORE M. DANAY

Eleanore M. Danay, age 89, formerly of 430 N. Sixth St.,
presently residing at Fieldcrest Manor, died Sunday morning,
Feb. 18, 2007, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center,
Manitowoc.
She was born on April 4, 1917 in the town of Franklin, daughter
of the late Joseph and Mary Gerl Denor. On March 15, 1941, she
married George J. Danay at St. Athansius Catholic Church in
Illinois. He preceded her in death on Feb. 17, 2004. Eleanore
was formerly a member of the Rosary and Altar Society of Sacred
Heart Catholic Church. She was a member of the Manitowoc Senior
Center and St. Francis of Assisi.

Eleanore was also preceded in death by one son: George L. Danay;
one daughter: Mary Jane Schulz; one great-grandson: Brandon Danay;
two infant brothers: Robert and Frank; brothers and their spouses;
sisters and their spouses: Joseph and Alice Denor; Marie and Elmer
Reif; Leo and Gwendolyn Denor; Ann and Clem Rolland; and a
brother-in-law: Ervin Novak.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22,
2007, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall. Officiating at the
Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Dan Felton with burial
to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:30 a.m. until
the time of Mass at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, 2007, at St.
Francis of Assisi on Marshall.
The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with
funeral arrangements.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to (private)
and the staff at Fieldcrest Manor, for the care given to Eleanore.
The family also wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at
Holy Family Memorial Medical Center and the Rev. Richard Klingeisen
of pastoral care.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law: Melvin and Diane Danay, Two Rivers; Richard and Beverly Danay, Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Eleanore and Ervin "William" Ploederl, Manitowoc; one son-in-law: Wilford Schulz, Reedsville; one daughter-in-law: Diane Danay, Omro; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Leonard and Judy Denor, California; Wilbert and Florence Denor, Brillion; four sisters and two brothers-in-law: Evelyn Novak, Manitowoc; Agnes and Lester Arndt, Kiel; Theresa and Robert Arndt, Manitowoc; Irene Denor, Manitowoc, 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law: John Danay and Fred Danay; two sisters-in-law: Donna Danay and Willadean Danay. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.
