MARIE J. DANIELSON

Miss Marie J. Danielson, 67, of 715 N. Seventh St., Manitowoc, died Tuesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a prolonged illness. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Edmund E. Olson will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.

Miss Danielson was born April 16, 1902, at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Daniel G. and Mary Peterik Danielson. She graduated from the old Washington High School, Manitowoc, with the class of 1919 and from the Manitowoc County Normal School in 1921. Miss Danielson taught school at Quarry, Merrill and Manitowoc before moving to Racine in 1929, where she taught until 1967. She then retired and moved back to Manitowoc.

She obtained a bachelor of arts degree from Stevens Point Teachers College and a masters degree in education from the University of Wisconsin. A past president of the Racine Educational Assn., Miss Danielson also served on the board of directors of the Racine YWCA and was past president of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. She was also a member of the Wisconsin and national educational associations and St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.

Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Donald Pemberton, of Manitowoc; three brothers, James N. and Atty. John C. of Manitowoc and Dr. Paul J., Tucson, Ariz.; and nieces and nephews. A brother, Daniel E., preceded he in death. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Thursday. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
