Sadie M. Dummer, age 93, of St. Mary's Home, 2005 Division St., Manitowoc, formerly of 505 S. 30th St., Manitowoc, entered eternal rest late Saturday evening, April 17, 2004 at St. Mary's Home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church 1033 S. Eighth St., Manitowoc. Officiating will be the Rev. Steven Hahm with burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. Sadie was born Oct. 27, 1910, in the town of Newton, the daughter of the late Herman and Augusta Haselow Sonnenburg. In previous years, Sadie had been employed as the store manager of Fanny Farmer Candy Shop on South Eighth St. in Manitowoc. On June 6, 1931, she married George A. Dummer at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Newtonburg. He preceded her in death on Jan. 3, 1984. Sadie was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid of the church. She also belonged to the Manitowoc Senior Center. Sadie is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Judith and the Rev. Henry Koch, Manitowoc; three grandchildren, Susan (Thomas) Phelps, Plymouth; the Rev. Henry T. (Cynthia) Koch, St. Petersburg, Fla.; Katherine (the Rev. Phillip) Enderle, Tomah; eight great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Frederick and Abigail Phelps; Jonathon, Anna, Michael and Sarae Enderle; Nathanael Koch; nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends surviving. She was preceded in death by her husband, George, in 1984, four brothers and two sisters. Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Monday (TONIGHT) from 5 to 8 p.m. and then at the church on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 11 a.m. Memorials would be appreciated to First German Evangelical Lutheran Church or Manitowoc Lutheran High School. The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff of St. Mary's Home for the kind and compassionate care that was given to Sadie while she resided there for the past five years. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, 628 N. Water St., Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
