Mrs. Augusta Falge, 89, died early Sunday at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Max Rahr Jr., 1623 Clark street, with whom she has resided since
the death of her husband, Justice Hubert Falge. Mrs. Falge has been
confined to her bed eight months with a broken hip.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Rahr home.
Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Falge, nee Augusta Leverenz, was born in Germany and when a girl
accompanied her parents to this city. In 1883 she was married to Hubert
Falge. The later taught school in the city, served three terms as clerk
of court and for many years was justice of the peace of the first ward.
He died eight years ago.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Rahr, city; one son, Ottmar Falge,
Ladysmith; and three step-daughters, Mrs. Hermine Morris and Mrs. Anne
Copps, both of California, Mrs. Bertha Barnard, Detroit, Mich.
The body may be viewed at the Rahr home on Clark street tonight and
Thursday morning.
