Mrs. Fandrick Is Dead at 44
Mrs. Louis Fandrick, 44, of 711 Flambeau St., died Wednesday morning at Holy
Family Hospital. She had been ill for an extended period of time.
Mrs. Fandrick, the former Eleanor L. Bayne, was born March 9, 1920, at Duluth,
Minn., daughter of the late Reed Taft and Isabel Aileen Bennie Bayne. She was
graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, and Stephens College, Columbia,
Mo.
Mrs. Fandrick had been society editor of The Herald-Herald Times, Manitowoc,
and the Staten Island, N.Y., Advance, and was assistant editor of the Wyoming
State Tribune, Cheyenne.
She had been a past president of the Manitowoc Jaycettes, was an associate member
of the Junior League and was a member of Beta Phi Gamma Sorority. She had been a
deaconess of First Presbyterian Church.
She was married to Louis Fandrick Dec. 21, 1942, in “The Little Church Around
the Corner” —the Church of the Transfiguration— in New York City and after her
husband completed his military service during World War II the couple returned
to Manitowoc. Mr. Fandrick manages the photography-engraving department of The
Herald-Times.
Mrs. Fandrick is survived by her husband, two daughters, Phyllis E. and Mary L.,
of Manitowoc and a brother, Robert T. Bayne, of Santa Barbara, Calif. Her father,
who had been publisher of The Herald-Times, died June 7, 1954, and her mother
died May 25, 1962.
Funeral services are incomplete pending arrival of the brother.
The body has been removed to Pfeffer Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mrs. Louis Fandrick, 44, of 711 Flambeau St., Manitowoc,
who died Wednesday morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, will be at
1:30 p.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gervase J.
Zanotti will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 4 p.m. Friday until
11:30 a.m. Saturday when the casket will be moved to the church where the body
will lie in state from noon until the time of the service.
Merorials may be sent to First Presbyterian Church.
