Frank Fidler, 74, of 1812 Michigan Ave., Manitowoc, died Sunday evening at
Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, following a short illness.
Funeral services will be at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral
Home, Manitowoc, and at 9 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. The Rev.
Anthony Stefl will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Fidler was born Jan. 8, 1887, at Cooperstown, son of the late Joseph and
Anna Yench Fidler. He married the former Lillian Petska at Kellnersville
June 23, 1915. The couple located at Rosecrans and in 1925 came to Manitowoc.
He was a carpenter by trade and in later years was employed at Manitowoc Ship-
building, Inc., retiring seven years ago. He was a member of the Holy Name
Society of the church and of ZCBJ, Bohemian Lodge.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Victor of Manitowoc and Lester and Roy at
home; daughter, Mrs. James Pankratz of Manitowoc; brother, Adolph of Manitowoc;
three sisters, Mrs. Jake Kubichek of Manitowoc, Mrs. Frank Kvitek of Maribel
and Mrs. Charles Hoppe of Milwaukee; and six grandchildren.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home where the Rosary will
be recited at 7:45 p.m.
