Herbert W. Glaeser 57, of 3310 Meadow Lane, Manitowoc, died Sunday evening at his home after suffering a heart attack.
Funeral services have been tentatively set at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bethany Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, with the Rev. Armin Roekle officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
Mr. Glaeser was born Feb. 13, 1903, in the Town of Liberty, son of the late Herman and Mathilda Glaeser. He married Anna Kisselhorst April 23, 1923, in the Town of Newton. He operated a farm in the Town of Cato until 1929, when the family moved to the City of Manitowoc where he was employed at Sorge Ice Cream and Dairy Co. He was a member of the Teamsters and Chauffeurs Union Local 619 of Manitowoc.
Surviving are his wife; two sons, Wallace of Manitowoc and Richard with the U.S. Army in Germany; two daughters, Mrs. Glen Wawirka of Algoma and Mrs. William Cape of Manitowoc; three brothers, Bernard and Leonard of Manitowoc and Edgar of Whitelaw; two sisters, Mrs. Carl Huebner and Mrs. Hertha Haupt of Manitowoc and four grand children.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Wednesday until 10:30 a.m. Thursday when the body will be moved to the church to lie in state.
