CLARA GRIEBLING

Mrs. Clara Griebling, 83, a resident of Shady Lane Home, Manitowoc, died Sunday at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. David A. Passet will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Griebling, nee Clara Qualman, was born July 22, 1893, at Forestville, Wis., daughter of the late Henry and Ida Gebhardt Qualman. She was married to Hugo Griebling May 6, 1916, at Manitowoc, residing at Manitowoc. Mr. Griebling preceded her in death April 16, 1944. Prior to her retirement in 1959, she had been employed at Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry, Manitowoc, as a packer.
Survivors include a son, Elroy, of Florida; seven daughters, Mrs. William (Ruth) Karlin, Mrs. Victor (Alice) Meisner, Mrs. Melvin (Viola) Sprang and Mrs. Donald (Elaine) Brey, of Manitowoc, Mrs. John (Verna) Stewart, of Chicago, Mrs. Andrew (Gladys) Myncke, of California and Mrs. Keith (Clara) Synder, of Florida; two brothers, Edward, of Algoma and John, of Mukwonago, 28 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
