Mrs. Evelyn M. Hansen, age 90, formerly of 1301 Grand Ave., Manitowoc,
died Saturday evening, January 29, 1994 at the Shady Lane Home,
Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, 11 a.m. at the Reinbold, Pfeffer
Funeral Home, Revs. Arno Wolfgramm and Bruce Bitter will officiate
with burial at the Evergreen Cemetery.
The former Evelyn Woerfel was born June 3, 1903, in Chicago. The family
moved to Manitowoc when she was six years old. She attended Chicago and
Manitowoc schools. She also attended the Manitowoc Business College
graduating in 1918. On September 17, 1925, she married Mead F. Hansen
at Manitowoc. He preceded her in death December 23, 1991. Prior to her
marriage she was employed at the F.W. Woolworth and Schuette Bros. in
Manitowoc. She was a lifetime member of the First German Ev. Lutheran
Church.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Mead R. and Monica Hansen,
Sturgeon Bay; six grandchildren, William and Diane Hansen, Manitowoc,
Linda Hansen, Two Rivers, Jennifer and Roger Levendusky, Sturgeon Bay,
Paul and Katherine Hansen, Sister Bay, Martha and Eric Gename, Sister Bay,
Sarah and Douglas Schoenwalder, Green Bay; five great grandchildren; three
sisters and one-brother-in-law, June and George Evenson, Manitowoc, Rose
Schneck, Des Plaines, Ill., Shirley Krejcic, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends survive. She was preceded in death by two
brothers, an infant sister; and two brothers-in-law.
Friends may call at the Reinbold Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, Tuesday,
from 5-7 p.m.
Memorials would be appreciated to Camp Sinawa or The First German Ev.
Lutheran School.
