MR. AND MRS. THOMAS C. HANSON(sic) CELEBRATE GOLDEN WEDDING DAY
All Children and Grand Children of the Couple Gather at Their
Home for the Joyous Occasion
One of the big events in the city yesterday aside from the Peace
celebration was the observance of the golden jubilee anniversary
of the wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas C. Hanson, who resides on
North Fourteenth street.
The couple were married at Christiana, Norway and a feature of their
residence here is that they have continued to reside at their present
place of abode for thirty-five years. A large gathering of friends
was present in the evening to fittingly celebrate the occasion. Many
tokens of respect were presented to the couple. Mr. Hanson has been
a ship carpenter all these years and the couple have enjoyed the high
esteem and respect of the community.
Numerous telegrams of congratulations from out of town friends were
received during the day. They had the pleasure of having all their
children and grandchildren present. The children are: Thomas C. Hanson,
Jr., of Milwaukee; Hans A. Hanson, Mrs. Even Tollefson and Mrs. J.A.
Johnson, this city; Dr. A.C. Hanson, Chicago and Mrs. C. Barnstein,
Newton.
