Ronald T. Hanson, 48 of Suamico, Wis., passed away on Saturday, January 4, 1992,
at his home, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.
Funeral services were held in Green Bay on January 6, 1992, and burial was at
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born August 23, 1943, to June (Blahnik) Hanson and the late Milton Hanson
of Manitowoc, Wis. He graduated from Manitowoc Lincoln High School and M.R. School
of the United States Navy. He lived in the Green Bay area for the pat 12 years.
He served in the United States Navy as a machinist and received an honorable
discharge. He married Sharry Olson on December 30, 1967, in Valders, Wis. The
couple celebrated 24 years of marriage. He was very active in Boy Scouting for
the past 11 years. He served as Scout Master of Troop 1267 of Howard-Suamico.
The troop honored him with an award in November 1901, for his dedication and
service.
He is survived by his wife, Sharry of Suamico; two children, Michelle Hanson of
U.W. Stevens Point and David Hanson of U.W. Platteville; his mother, June Hanson
of Manitowoc; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Susan and George Blahnik of Waukesha,
Doris and Walter Wilms of Lakeville, Minn.; nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
