ONE OF CITY'S OLDEST RESIDENTS IS DEAD
Mrs. Hardow Would Have Been 90 Next Month
One of the oldest of the city's residents was claimed by death yesterday when
Mrs. Doreathea (sic) Hardow passed away at her home at 1223 South Eleventh
street, death being due to age. Had Mrs. Hardow, who was the widow of the late
Carl Hardow, lived until January 15, she would have been 90 years old.
Mrs. Hardow came here in 1852 with her husband, the couple being on their wedding
trip, and located here where she has resided since. Two children, John and Mrs.
J. Dittmar, ten grand children and nine great grand children survive.
The funeral will be held tomorrow, Rev. Machmiller officiating.
