PENELOPE "PEARL" HARTMAN

Pearl Hartman, age 85, of 100 S. 18th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday,
January 10, 2001, at Holy family Memorial Medical Center.
Funeral Services will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, January 13, 2001,
at St. Mary's Home Chapel. The Mass of Christian Burial will be
celebrated by Rev. Thomas Wojciechowski O.F.M., with burial to follow
at Evergreen Cemetery.
Pearl was born February 27, 1915, at Fond du Lac, daughter of the late
Alex and Mary Hungas Pharris. She was educated at Fond du Lac and
married Alex Theodoru, October 25, 1940, at Fond du Lac. Alex and
Pearl owned and operated Coney Island Restaurant Manitowoc. Alex
preceded her in death September 23, 1948. Pearl then operated
Pearl's Bar at Clover from 1952 to 1956. On December 3, 1960, she
was married to Francis P. Hartman at St. Andrew Catholic Church,
Manitowoc. From 1976 to 1998 they retired to Florida. They celebrated
40+ years together. Pearl enjoyed her family, many friends, cooking and
sewing.
Survivors include her husband, Francis; surviving are 9 children,
numerous grandchildren a great grandchildren, a brother and sister in law,
two sisters in law, nieces, nephews, other relatives
and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by a
stepdaughter, Joanne Hartman, a grandchild, Leaha Sue Theodoru; two
brothers, Charles and John.
Relatives and friends may call at Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral
Home, Manitowoc from 4-8 p.m. Friday, and on Saturday at St. Mary's Home
Chapel from 8 a.m. until the time of service at 9 a.m. A prayer service
will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday evening led by Fr. Tom.
