DEATH CLAIMS MRS. A. HARTUNG AT CHICAGO
Former Resident of City Will Be Brought Here For Burial
The body of Mrs. A.J. Hartung, sister of Mrs. Mary Ryan of this city
who died in Chicago on Tuesday, will arrive in the city this evening
and burial will take place from the Ryan home, 1614 Washington street
Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. F.P. Keicher of Chilton to
have charge of the services. Interment will be at Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Hartung, nee Juliette Bean, is well remembered in this city and
news of her death at Chicago came as a complete surprise to friends
and relatives here. Mrs. Hartung was a native of Manitowoc having been
born here May 13, 1855 but for the past forty years she had made her
home in Chicago. Mrs. Hartung has kept in close touch with the affairs
of the city however, coming here for an extended visit every year.
Decedent is survived by her husband A.J. Hartung of Chicago, one son
C.B. Hartung of Menasha, a daughter Mrs. Leroy Grimes who resides at
Hamilton Canada; five sisters, Mr. E.B. McPherson, Kaukauna; Mrs.
Tillie B. Hartung, Chicago, Mrs. Millie B. Leet, Salem, Mass; Mrs.
Henry A. Towsley, Los Angeles; and Mrs. Mary Ryan of this city. Two
brothers George W. Bean and Ben B. Bean both of this city, also survive.
Relatives from out of the city will be here for the funeral services.
