LOUIS A. HASSEMER

Louis A. (Happy) Hassemer, 75, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, a retired Town of Kossuth
farmer, died unexpectedly Tuesday afternoon at home following a heart attack.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville,
and 10 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, Francis Creek, the Rev. John Haen
officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Hassemer was born July 24, 1889 in the Town of Kossuth, son of the late
George and Josephine Kellner Hassemer. He farmed all his working life on the
Hassesmer homestead farm in the Town of Kossuth, retiring about five years ago.
He was unmarried. He was a former director of the Francis Creek School District
No. 1.
Surviving are two brothers, George Hassemer of Two Rivers and August Hassemer of
Menominee, Mich; a sister, Mrs. Edwin (Viola) Wachholz of Rt. 2, Two Rivers; and
several nieces and nephews. Two sisters, Anna and Josephine, died in infancy.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home where the Rosary will
be recited at 8 p.m. Friday.
