WALTER HELGESON

Walter S. Helgeson, 68, of 1522 S. 36th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening, Nov. 9, at Holy Family Hosptial, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Faith Lutheran Church, Valders. Rev. Carl Peters and Rev. Oz Twedt will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Helgeson was born Nov. 10, 1914, at Valders, Wis., son of the late Henry and Julia Torrison Helgeson. He married Marie A. Tuschl on Jan. 3, 1937, at Clarks Mills. Mr. Helgeson was owner and operator of Helgeson Painting Service until retirement in 1976. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Valders.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; two sons and daughters-in-law, Howard and LuAnn Helgeson of Cato and Allen and Arlene Helgeson of Manitowoc; five daughters and sons-in-law, Joan and Anthony Fessler and Lorne and Robert Hoff of Whitelaw, Judith and William Heinzen and Vicki and James Dworak of Manitowoc and Karen and Kenneth Schuler of Valders; two brothers, Gordon Helgeson of Valders and Arthur Helgeson of Collins; two sisters, Miss Blanche Helgeson and Mrs. Victor (Edna) Lensmeyer of Sheboygan and 20 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Stanley, a grandchild and a brother.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and at the church on Saturday from 9 a.m. to the time of services.
