BERTHA HERRMANN
Following a lingering illness Mrs. Bertha Hermann (sic) of 1015 Madison street,
died last night at the Holy Family hospital. She would have been 76 years of
age today.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete, awaiting word from a son, Max C. Hermann,
a representative of the Aluminum Goods company on the Pacific coast. Services
will probably be held Monday.
Mrs. Hermann, nee Bertha Wienke, was born in Germany in 1864, a daughter of
Ferdinand and Minna Wienke. She accompanied her parents to this county when
a girl. The family located in Manitowoc Rapids where she remained until her
marriage to John Hermann in 1882.
Mr. and Mr. Hermann located in this city where Mr. Hermann died 40 years ago.
Survivors are six daughters, Mrs. Elmer Wilke of Madison, Mrs. Walter Wigen of
route 4, Manitowoc, Mrs. Clarence Wigen, Mrs. Hilary Peot, Mrs. Irma Dow and
Linda Hermann, all of this city; two sons, Max C. of San Francisco, John C. of
Inglewood, Calif.; brother, Herman Wienke of Manitowoc Rapids; and 12 grand-
children.
The body is at the Frazier mortuary where it may be viewed from Saturday noon on.
