ANNA STEFFEN

Mrs. William Steffen,
Sr., 64, of 1014 South 19th street, died Thursday evening at the Holy Family
hospital. She had been in failing health the past year. Funeral services will be
held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. from the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home and
at two o'clock from the First German Evangelical Lutheran church, the Rev. L.H.
Koeninger officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen cemetery.
Mrs. Steffen,
nee Anna Wienke, was born in Germany in 1873 and when a child accompanied her
parents to this county. The family located at Clarks Mills and 20 years later
moved to Manitowoc Rapids. She was married in 1890 to William Steffen and they
moved to this city, where they since resided. She was a member of the Ladies Aid
society of the church.
Survivors are the widower; a daughter, Mrs. Emil Dehne,
city; two sons, William Jr., Sheboygan Falls, Reinhardt, city; daughter-in-law,
Mrs. Fred Steffen, city; brother, Herman Wienke, Manitowoc Rapids, sister, Mrs.
Bertha Herman, city; and 18 grandchildren. The body may be viwed at the funeral
home.
