Marie Franz Herrmann, age 82, of 1503 Nagle Avenue, Manitowoc, died Sunday morning,
June 17, 2001, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2001, at St. Paul
Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be
the Rev. Ronald Reime with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
She was born Sept. 23, 1918, in Whitelaw, daughter of the late Louis and Frances
Augustine Schambureck. On Nov. 23, 1940, she married Lawrence Franz at St. Michael
Catholic Church, Whitelaw. He preceded her in death March 30, 1972. On April 19,
1979, she married Leonard Herrmann at St. Paul Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Mrs.
Hermann was employed with Mirro Aluminum Company, Plant #7, for many years and also
Neuser’s Restaurant located on Washington Street in Manitowoc. She was a member of
VFW Auxiliary #659, Eagles Auxiliary and St. Paul Christian Mothers.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Herrmann, Manitowoc; five daughters and four
sons-in-law, Joyce and Roger Mrozinsky, Little Sturgeon, Judy and Jim Chizek,
Manitowoc, Jacquelynn and Richard Terrien, Green Bay, Jennifer and James Sittman,
Manitowoc, Joanne Franz, Florida, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, four
great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Joseph Schaumbureck, Whitelaw and three sisters
and two brothers-in-law, Agnes and Ervin Birringer, Helen Lemberger, Rita Junk and
Sylvester Birringer, all of Manitowoc. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Johanna Van Ells;
three sisters, Gertrude Birringer, Esther Braun, Beatrice Schaumbureck; three
brothers-in-law, Peter Braun, Alphonse Lemberger, Phillip Junk and a sister-in-law,
Devota Schambureck.
The family will greet relatives and friends at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc
from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. led by Deacon
Alan Boeldt. Friends may also call Thursday morning at St. Paul Catholic Church from
9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 10:30 a.m.
