Mrs. Henry (Maruerite L.) Herzog, 71, of 501 Huron St., Manitowoc, died early Sunday morning, Oct. 3, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Arno J. Wolfgramm will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Herzog was born July 1, 1911, in the Town of Newton, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Edwin D. Roepke and Erna W. Kieselhorst Roepke. She grew up in the Town of Newton, attending local schools. She was graduated from Lincoln High School in 1928. She was married to Henry H. Herzog July 16, 1960, at Two Rivers. Mrs. Herzog was employed by National Tinsel Factory, Manitowoc, for 20 years, and by Hamilton Industries, Two Rivers, for 20 years, until her retirement. She was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, and Hamilton Retirement Club.
Survivors include her husband, Henry; her mother, Erna W. Roepke; two stepsons and daughters-in-law, Ode and Lynn Herzog of Port Huron, Mich., and Richard and Phyllis Herzog of Manitowoc; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Edwin Roepke, John and Marleen Roepke, and Mrs. Arlene Roepke of Manitowoc; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Deloris and Leonard Schuh, and Miss Erna H. Roepke of Manitowoc; an aunt, Helen Roepke of Sheboygan; six grandchildren, a great granddaughter, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Czekala and Laurine Roepke, and a brother, Herman Roepke.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of services. Memorials are appreciated to First German Evangelical Lutheran Church or American Cancer Society.
