HERMAN W. HOLDORF

Herman W. Holdorff (sic), 73, of 999? S. 20th St., Manitowoc, died early Friday
morning at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient the past
week.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at First German Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc, where he had been a patient the past week.

Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. L. H. Koeninger will officiate and burial will be
in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born Nov. 6, 1886, at Liberty, Wis., son of the late Frank and Ernestine
Grodtke Holdorff. On June 6, 1906, he married the former Helen Erdmann of
Manitowoc who preceded him in death in 1919. On Oct. 19, 1920, he married the
former Lillian Groth of Manitowoc. He was a mail messenger for the U.S. Postal
Service on the Manitowoc-Two Rivers run.
Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. M. C. Wilcox of Manitowoc, Mrs.
Merlin Liebzeit of Appleton and Mrs. Earl Kreie of Manitowoc; five sons, Alvin,
Elmer, Edwin and Earl of Manitowoc and Herman K. of Appleton; brothers Erwin of
Kiel; sister, Mrs. Ferdinand Schwalbe of Chilton; 22 grandchildren and five great
grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, after 3 p.m. Sunday at
11 a.m. Monday when the body will be removed to the church to lie in state until
time of service.
