Mrs. Herbert A. (Hilda G.) Jacob, 86, of 1401 Marshall St., Manitowoc, died
Monday evening, October 24, 1988, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m .Thursday at First German Evangelical Lutheran
Church. Rev. Arno J. Wolfgramm will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery.
Mrs. Jacob was born February 27, 1902, in the Town of Newton, daughter of the
late Louis and Mary Luebke Reinhardt. She was educated at Newtonburg and baptized
and confirmed at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church at Newtonburg. She married
Herbert A. Jacob June 12, 1926, at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, by
Rev. Koeninger. The couple celebrated their 62nd wedding Anniversary this year.
Mrs. Jacob was a member of First German Evangelical Lutheran Church and was a
former member of Ladies Aid of the church, Manitowoc Senior Citizens and sang with
The Silvertones and also was a former member of Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, Herbert; a daughter, Shirley Jacob of Manitwoc;
brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include: Art and Ella Mae Jacob of Desert Springs,
California, Milda and Walter Groelle, VT, and Gerald Buss and Mrs. Etta Schmill all
of Manitowoc; nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in
death by a brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Dorothy Reinhardt and a sister
and brother-in-law, Frieda and John Kolanchek.
Friends may call at Reinbold-Pfeffer Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
after 5 p.m. Wednesday and at the church after 10 a.m. on Thursday until the time
of services. Memorials may be made to First German Evangelical Lutheran Church.
