Mrs. William (Helen N.) Jacobs, 66, of 1024A New York Ave., died Sunday morning in Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in St. John United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. Gerald Schrankler will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Jacobs, nee Helen Thompson, was born Aug. 8, 1911, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Norman and Helen Flentje Thompson. She was educated in Manitowoc, graduating from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1928 and lived in Manitowoc all her life. She was married to William A. Jacobs May 31, 1941 in Waverly, Iowa. He preceded her in death April 19, 1972. Mrs. Jacobs was a member of St. John United Church of Christ, Women's Guild and Eagles Auxiliary 706.
Survivors include two sons, Alan of Oshkosh and Mark at home; three daughters, Miss Janis Jacobs of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Chester (Kay) Sheraski of Sheboygan and Mrs. Wayne (Joy) Skarda of Manitowoc; three brothers, Clarence of Manitowoc, George of Oconto and Earl of Frankfort, Ind.; three sisters, Mrs. John (Marian) Landon of Manitowoc, Mrs. Andrew (Grace) Babich of Minneapolis, Minn., and Mrs. John (Allene) Yule of Jamestown, N.D., six grandchildren and nieces and nephews. An infant brother preceded her in death.
Friends may call in Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and in the church 9 a.m. Wednesday until the service.
