Marjorie W. John, age 81, a Manitowoc resident, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 2002 at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc. Private Family Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at the Phipps Memorial Chapel of the First Presbyterian Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Tricia Matthew will officiate and burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery. Marjorie was born Aug. 6, 1921 in the Town of Eaton, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Charles and Jennie Robinson Wigen. She was employed at Plumb & Nelson for many years prior to her retirement. She married Richard John who preceded her in death September 9, 1983. Surviving children include: Garry C. (Barbara) John, Manitowoc and Greg R. (Merrianne Kane) John, Mount Vernon, Wash; four grandchildren: Amy John, Manitowoc and her fiance Doug Hahn; Brian John, Manitowoc; Kevin M. John, Mount Vernon, Wash and Justin L. John, Mount Vernon, Wash; her sister: Carol Krull, Enumclaw, Wash; three sisters-in-law: Marjorie A. John, Manitowoc; Lenore Fleet, Richmond, VA; Gwendolyn John, Florida. In addition to her parents and her husband Richard, she was preceded in death by a brother: Orrin Wigen and his wife Lucille; three brothers-in-law: Leonard Krull, Rex K. John, Jr. and Robert Fleet.
