Mrs. Dorothy C. Kaminski, 64, of 504 S. 25th St., Manitowoc, died Monday
at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Schneider-Mittnacht
Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. Duane Dionne will officiate and burial
will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Kaminski, nee Dorothy Chapman, was born Jan. 7, 1908, at Muskegon,
Mich., daughter of the late Dr. V.A. Chapman, F.A.C.S., and Majorie Smith
Chapman. She attended elementary schools in Milwaukee. She attended
Milwaukee Downers College where she received her bachelor of Arts Degree in
1931. She also attended Brenau College, Gainesville, Ga. She was married to
Jerome T. Kaminski July 6, 1935, at St. Jude Catholic Church, Wauwatosa. The
couple resided in Milwaukee until May of 1939, coming to Manitowoc.
She was a member of the American Red Cross, Bundles for Britain, co-chairman
of Memorial Hospital Country Farm Festival, American Association of Women,
and Alpha XI Delta National Sorority.
Survivors include her hsuband; a son (Survivors omitted for privacy.) a
brother, Denman S., retired colonel, the United States Army of LaMesa, Calif.;
a sister, Mrs. Muriel Chapman O'Neil, of Manitowoc, two grandchildren and
nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday. The casket will
remain closed. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
