John E. Kane, age 76, of 2316 Paul Road, Manitowoc, died Saturday afternoon, July 28, 2001 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services are 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and at 3 p.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Gerald Foley, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
John was born June 24, 1925 in Stark, Wis., son of the late John and Catherine Bradley Kane. He graduated from Denmark High School with the class of 1944. John had been employed with White House Milk Company, and later employed with Wisconsin Michigan Coaches of Green Bay as a tour bus driver, from where he then retired.
He married Gene Kaderabek on June 24, 1947 at St. James Catholic Church, Cooperstown. John was a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gene; one brother-in-law, John C. (Ann) Kaderabek, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law, Apoline Hablewitz, Manitowoc, and Ruth Ann (Benno) Steuer, Manitowoc; many nieces, nephews, along with other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by one brother Gerald Kane, Nov. 2000.
Friends may call at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home on Wednesday from noon until 2:30 p.m.
