Karl W. Kluenker, 69 of the Town of Manitowoc Rapids, died Saturday morning,
November 5, 1988, at Holy Family Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immanueal Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc. Rev. Glenn Unke will officiate with burial to follow at
Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Kluenker was born March 19, 1919, in the town of Manitowoc Rapids, son of
the late Charles and Emma Rabenhorst Kluenker. He attended Manitowoc area schools
and graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1936, Mr. Kluenker farmed
on the home farm in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids and also was employed as a
Machinist with Manitowoc Engineering until his retirement. He married the former
Dorine Broeking on September 5, 1943, at Stanley, Wisconsin. In recent years, Mr.
Kluecker was very active with Pinecrest Historical Village. He was a member of
Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church and previously served on the church council
and also on other committees over the years.
Survivors include his wife, Doreen(sic); two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles
and Margaret Kluenker of Roseville, California, and Paul Kluenker of Manitowoc;
two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Larry Raether of Bay City, Michigan,
and Ruth and Rev. John Mattek of Waukesha, Wisconsin; two sisters and a brother-
in-law, Mrs. Louise Becker of Manitowoc, and June and Wilbert Hasche of Manitowoc;
14 grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relative and friends survive.
Friends may call at Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. this Monday
and Tuesday at the church from 10 a.m. until the hour of servie at 11 a.m.
Memorials may be made to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church or Manitowoc Lutheran
High School.
