Harold C. (Klus) Klusmeyer, 61, of 1308 Cherry Rd., Manitowoc, died Tuesday
afternoon, August 18, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at First Lutheran Church, Manitowoc.
The Rev. Bruce Hanstedt will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Klusmeyer was born March 10, 1920, at Manitowoc, son of the late Walter and
Dora Hoefner Klusmeyer. He was graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class
of 1935? Mr. Klusmeyer was a World War II veteran, serving in the South Pacific
with the United States Marines from 1941 to 1945. He married Oneitha Gierke
July 12, 1947, at Manitowoc. She preceded him in death Aug. 3, 1981. He had been
employed as a supervisor with Anheuser-Busch Inc., and was a member of First
Lutheran Church and American Legion Drews-Bleser Post No. 88 of Manitowoc.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law, Emmet and Loretta Klusmeyer
and Elroy and Lola Klusmeyer of Manitowoc; five sisters and two brothers-in-law,
Dorothy and Elmer Vogt, Edith and Robert Luckow, Ethel and Kenneth Seefeldt and
Loretta and Donald Kroening of Manitowoc and Marion and LeRoy Nell? of Johnson
Creek, Wis., nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday until
11 a.m. Friday and then at the church from noon until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. The casket will remain
closed.
