INJURED IN FALL ON ICY WALK, MAN FAILS TO SURVIVE
William Klusmeyer, 58, Injured 2 Weeks Ago,
Never Regained Consciousness and Died Yesterday at Hospital
Injured in a fall on an icy walk on South 12th street, two weeks ago,
William Klusmeyer, well known resident of this city, died at the
hospital last night without having regained consciousness. Mr. Klusmeyer
was on his way to the home of his sister, with whom he resided, when he
fell on the ice, striking his head and inflicting the injuries which
proved fatal. Physicians say the brain was affected.
Deceased was a native of Newton, this county, and was 58 years of age,
having been born on March 3, 1853. He had made his home in the city for
some time, residing with his sister, Mrs. John Meissner. Mr. Klusmeyer
is survived by his aged mother, three brothers and two sisters, William
of Newton; Herman Klusmeyer of Waukesha, Henry of this city and Mrs. John
Meissner of this city. The funeral will be held Sunday from the home of
Henry Klusmeyer.
