WIDOW DIES AT HOME OF SON
Mrs. Bertha Klusmeyer To Be Buried Wednesday
Mrs. Betha Klusmeyer, 65, widow of the late William Klusmeyer, died Saturday
afternoon at the home of her son Walter, 1226 South 12th street. Death followed
an illness of several months’ duration.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the home and at 2 p.m.
from the Evangelical Lutheran church, Rev. Koeninger officiating. Interment will
be at Evergreen.
The deceased whose maiden name was Bertha Strodthoff was born in 1868 in the town
of Newton. She was married there in 1889 to William Klusmeyer. He engaged in
farming in the town of Newton. Mr. Klusmeyer died 16 years ago, a year after they
had removed to this city to reside.
The deceased was a member of the Ladies Aid society of the church. Survivors are
four sons, Elmer, Walter, William and Edwin all of this city, one daughter, Mrs.
Henry Stege, Antigo, two brothers, Herman and William of the town of Manitowoc
Rapids and two sisters, Mrs. eyrHn (sic) Meisner and Mrs. Rudolph Behnke, both
of this city.
The body was removed to the home of the son Walter on South 12th street today from
the Wattawa, Urbanek and Schlei funeral home.
