ERWIN KOCH

Erwin (Perk) Koch, 84, formerly of 1215 S. 18th St., Manitowoc, currently residing at Hamilton Memorial Home, Two Rivers, died Monday, March 21, at Two Rivers Community Hosptial.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pfeffer Funeral Home and 11 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Theodore J. Hendricks will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Koch was born Oct. 8, 1898, at Manitowoc, son of the late John and Theresa Stockert Koch. He married Renatta Traeger Oct. 11, 1919, at Manitowoc. She preceded him in death July 5, 1951. He then married Mrs. Olga Jansen. The couple resided in Two Rivers. She preceded him in death Jan. 3 1982. Mr. Koch entered into a partnership with his brother, John Koch, in the Koch Brothers Electrical Company at Ninth and Buffalo Street, Manitowoc, from 1919 to 1921, when he became employed by Mirro Aluminum Goods Manufacturing Company, retiring in 1963. He also owned and operated the lunchroom adjacent to the former Linger Bar in Manitowoc for a number of years.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, David and Jeanette Koch of Northridge, Calif.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn and Robert Weber of rural Valders and Ruth and Cal Zarr of Chula Vista, Calif.; two stepsons, Harold Jansen of Two Rivers and Earl Jansen of Berlin, Wis.; two stepdaughters, Bernice Rabenhorst of Manitowoc and Janet Antonnie of Two Rivers; a brother, Ray Koch Sr. and a sister, Margaret Schlei of Manitowoc; 10 grandchildren, Jan Paul Woodruff, JackieLynn Kiley, Robin Nespodzany, Larry Reed, Donna Stevens, Thomas, John and Charles Lewis and Richard and Steven Koch, seven great grandaughters, 13 step-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. A brother, John, three sisters, Mayme Thielen, Catherine Koepsel and Clara Musil and two step-grandchildren preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.
