Hugo B. Kohls, 72, of 1110 Madison St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at First German Evangelical
Luthe4ran Church, Manitowoc, with the Rev. L. H. Koeninger officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
He was born July 4, 1890, at Manitowoc, son of the late William and Minnie
Krueger Kohls. He married Ira (sic) Krieser Oct. 5, 1912, at Manitowoc. The
couple observed its 50th wedding anniversary in October. He was employed at
American Seating Co. and as a pattern maker at Mirro Aluminum Co. until his
retirement in 1954. He was a member of the Mirro 25-Year Club and of the
Manitowoc Marine Band. He was named an honorary member of the Marine Band
and of Local 195, AFM. His wife preceded him in death Dec. 1.
Among survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Robert Eisner Jr., of Manitowoc; two
brothers, Herman and William, of Manitowoc; a sister, Mrs. Ed. Juule, of
Sheboygan and two grandchildren.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home,
Manitowoc, until 10:30 a.m. Saturday when the casket will be moved to the
church and the body will lie in state until time of service.
