Mrs. Earl E. Korte, 69, of 1214 S. Ninth St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday at Holy
Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after a three weeks illness.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First German Evangelical Lutheran
Church, Manitowoc, the Rev. L.H. Koeninger officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Korte, nee Edna Miller, was born May 28, 1895, at Plymouth daughter of the
late William and Louise Gloede Miller. She was married to Earl Korte Feb. 11, 1915,
at Plymouth and they lived there until coming to Manitowoc in 1927. She had been a
dietitian at Holy Family Hospital since 1950. She was a member of the Ladies Aid
Society of the church. Her husband died Oct. 6, 1951, and four brothers also preceded
her in death.
Surviving are three sons, William, Willard and Earl Jr., of Manitowoc, two daughters,
Mrs. Harold Timm and Mrs. Elroy Schrank, of Manitowoc, two sisters, Mrs. Edwin Noffz,
of Green Bay and Mrs. Arno Pfleger, of Plymouth , 16 grandchildren and a great grand-
child.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc , after 3 p.m.
Thursday until 10:30 a.m. Friday and then at the church.
